She tried making her own Garum, following Apicius (I think) or some grotesquely boring Greek. She had fish hanging in her shed for weeks with containers collecting the juice that the piscine corpses generated. She couldn't get near the shed until there had been a good few frosts. Eventually she settled for a Thai fish sauce.
I think Worcester Source may have been a victorian attempt to recreate Garum.

No I was not brave enough to try it
Something that you have to try when you visit restaurant White Trash, is the Octopus-burger. This “burger” is kind of special because you will find a full (mini)octopus on the bread of your burger.

There is a restaurant in Berlin called white trash and they do an octopus burger , literally deep fried and between a bun.

I had Octopus this summer in Tenerife. It was literally cooked and served as one complete animal.
Lovely, I have to say.

Eaten all of the African game so probably weirdest would be cat, dog, or bear.
My big regret is not eating brain when in India some years ago. Got some brain lined up in Budapest in December though.
Or liquidised Big Mac and fries. It tasted exactly like Big Mac and fries, and was grim.

Tete de veau, or head of veal. Even in a top French restaurant it was fucking horrible. Complete with whiskers.
veaux cerveau dans du beurre à l'ail et du vin. Or veal brain with garlic etc. Had it in a St Trop restaurant many years ago. A yank sat next to us asked me what it was and near enough passed out when I told her. I wouldn't recommend it.
